Gemma Davis is a Director-at-Large on the Board of St. John’s Pride. Originally from the United Kingdom, she moved to Newfoundland and Labrador in 2015 to pursue graduate studies and now works as a marine biologist and fisheries advisor with an ocean conservation charity.
Gemma holds a BSc and MSc in Marine Biology and is a Certified Associate in Project Management. Alongside her professional work, she is deeply involved in community service, serving on the Board of Directors for Stella’s Circle and mentoring queer youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters’ PRISM program.
She believes strongly in showing up for community and can often be found attending local events and initiatives. In her spare time, Gemma enjoys being outdoors, reading widely, and spending time in libraries and other quiet spaces of learning.
