Pride is built on community, and that includes families of every shape and size. From hands-on activities and outdoor events to performances, conversations, and the city's biggest celebration, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the Pride Festival together.

Flag Raising

📍 St. John's City Hall

The official opening of the 2026 St. John's Pride Festival. Join community members and partners as the Pride flag is raised over City Hall to mark the start of the festival.

Family Pride

Hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters
Saturday, July 11 | 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
📍 Kenmount Terrace Community Centre

An afternoon of games, activities, entertainment, and community designed with families in mind. A welcoming event for kids, parents, caregivers, and chosen families alike.

Pride on the Harbour

Sunday, July 12
📍 Harbourside Park

Celebrate community on the waterfront with an afternoon of performances, connection, and Pride in one of the festival's most scenic settings.

Drag on Water

Sunday, July 12 | 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
📍 Water Street

One of the Pride Festival's signature events, Drag on Water transforms downtown into an outdoor stage with spectacular performances and plenty of opportunities to cheer from the sidelines.

Chosen Family Dinner

Monday, July 13 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
📍 St. John's Farmers' Market

Share a meal and celebrate the people who become family through friendship, love, and community. Everyone has a place at the table.

Paws for Pride

Hosted by Kenmount Road Animal Hospital
Saturday, July 18 | 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Because pets are family too. Stop by with your four-legged companion for a day celebrating Pride and the animals who make our lives brighter.

St. John's Pride Parade

Sunday, July 19 | 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
📍 City Hall to Bannerman Park

The Pride Parade is the festival's biggest event, filling downtown with music, colour, creativity, and thousands of people celebrating together.

Pride in the Park

Sunday, July 19 | 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
📍 Bannerman Park

Round out the festival with live entertainment, community organizations, food, activities, and plenty of room to relax in the park after the parade.
