2026 Pride Guide: For the Outdoor Enthusiast

It's summer! Across the festival you'll find opportunities to explore the city, get active, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with community in some of St. John's most beautiful spaces. If fresh air is part of your perfect summer day, add these events to your Pride schedule.

Birding Without Barriers

Wednesday, July 9 | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
📍 Quidi Vidi Boathouse

Take in the sights and sounds of Quidi Vidi during this accessible birding experience hosted in an inclusive, welcoming environment. No previous birding experience is required—just bring your curiosity.

Softball Tournament

Saturday, July 11 | 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
📍 Bannerman Park

Spend the day on the diamond at Pride's annual softball tournament. Teams are balanced based on experience and comfort level, making it a fun day of friendly competition for players and spectators alike.

Fat Babes Swim

Saturday, July 11 | 12:00–2:00 p.m.
📍 Bannerman Park Pool

A welcoming, body-positive swim designed to celebrate joy, community, and movement in an affirming space.

Queer Birding Outing

Sunday, July 12 | 8:00–10:00 a.m.
📍 Bowring Park (Peter Pan Statue)

Join fellow nature lovers for a relaxed morning walk through one of the city's favourite parks while spotting local birds and enjoying great conversation.

Annual "Beach" Fire & Songwriter's Circle – Harbourside Edition

Tuesday, July 14 | 8:00–10:00 p.m.
📍 Harbourside Park

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for an evening of live music, storytelling, and community by the water. A new, sustainable approach to a longstanding tradition.

Pride Fun Run

Saturday, July 18 | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
📍 Quidi Vidi Lake

Walk, jog, or run your way through Pride. This event is all about participation, celebration, and getting outside together. Plus, the medals rock.

2 Spirit BBQ

Saturday, July 18 | 12:00–3:00 p.m.
📍 70 Brookfield Road

Gather for food, conversation, and community at this celebration of Two-Spirit people, culture, and connection. This event is open to 2S community members, their friends, families, and allies.

Pride in the Park

Sunday, July 19 | 1:00–4:00 p.m.
📍 Bannerman Park

Finish the Festival with live entertainment, community organizations, family activities, food vendors, and thousands of people celebrating together after the Pride Parade.
