The 2026 Parade Grand Marshals are Overdose Awareness and Response St. John’s (OARS). OARS is a grassroots collective of trained harm reduction advocates, registered nurses, and people with lived experience who promote a harm reduction based approach to substance use and provide community led overdose response, education, and support.
In their role as Grand Marshals, OARS has created a list of calls to action for all levels of government in response to the growing overdose crisis in Newfoundland and Labrador. These calls to action are available on St. John’s Pride’s website and will be used by St. John’s Pride to help guide its organizing, advocacy, and festival planning for the 2026 Pride Festival and beyond.
To support full, authentic, and respectful participation in the St. John's Pride Parade, we ask all registrants to review the St. John's Pride Parade Terms and Conditions.
Registrants should also review St. John's Pride's commitments to solidarity which include participations restrictions for some brands and institutions. St. John's Pride stands in solidarity with the most vulnerable members of our community and commits to ensuring the St. John's Pride Festival remains rooted in protest, activism, and the fight for liberation for all members of our community and all marginalized communities.
By participating in the St. John’s Pride Parade all participants affirm their support to St. John’s Pride’s mission and goals. St. John's Pride reserves the right to deny or revoke parade participation under these terms and conditions.
